Photoshoot Jan 2014: Crown Casino

Once again "Tail End Charlie" joined photographer "Gore Play" (David Fulmer) of DRF Photography, and Melbourne based model Rebecca Lee for yet another exciting and successful shoot, this time right in the heart of Melbourne at another iconic and world renowned, Crown Casino. 

This was "Tail End Charlie's" first ever night shoot, choosing to utilize the 5 Gas Brigades on the Yarra River/Crown Casino as an exciting and fierce backdrop, capturing the huge flames as they burst high into the air, and ignited the night sky in the background, accompanied by bold, empowering but also feminine poses from the model in the fore ground. The combination of the two produced some exciting and captivating images. 

Utilizing the time between each Gas Brigade show (60 mins), we also shot along side the walkway and diagonal pylons across the road from Crown, at the Melbourne Exhibition Center.

From here we made an outfit change and returned to the Crown Casino river side, and below the as Brigades, we chose to incorporate the late night street activity, tree's and ambient light along side the yarra which made for, what seems like a "image of two tales" A softly lite "enchanting" background, and a "punchy" and bold model positioned in the foreground.

This was a really fun shoot, and captured the "Tail End Charlie" style in a different manner, which I think for this outfit, really complimented the look.

Photoshoot Jan 2014: AC/DC Lane & Cherry Bar

What a great way to kick off 2014, than with a rad photo shoot!

Recently "Tail End Charlie" teamed up with local photographer "Gore Play" (David Fulmer) of DRF Photography, and Melbourne based model Rebecca Lee, and ventured into the iconic AC/DC lane Melbourne for a "Tail End Charlie Boutique" photo shoot. I must say it was an absolute blast shooting with Rebecca Lee & Gore Play! They really did the garments justice far beyond my expectation!

When thinking of a concept and location for the shoot, "AC/DC" lane immediately came to mind. It's an iconic lane way in the heart of Melbourne, named after a great Australian band, and is the entrance to one of the best bars in the Australia, "Cherry Bar". The artwork and band posters plastered throughout the laneway make for a great backdrop for the shoot.

This shoot features three garments, the first being the centerpiece of the range the "Quartermaster Hunter" jacket. It's featured in red with gold embellishments, and is teamed up with our very popular DH-82 Leggings and Bordello heels.
This embodies the signature "Tail End Charlie" look!

Custom made cushions from Tail End Charlie

Tail End Charlie is offering custom made cushions!

Its been really fun hunting for interesting fabrics and creating custom made cushions. Its nice to have a break from the more intricate garments, and creating something simple, yet fun, and everyone enjoys cuddling up on the couch to a soft cushion. 

The interesting prints also make for a nice room decoration, and conversation piece. One print that I really like is the "Mustache" print fabric, who doesn't love a good mustache?

Being that it is also "Movember" I thought it would be a great way to raise money for the "Movember" campaign, so proceeds from the sale of the "mustache" cushions are going to "Movember" and raising awareness for men's health.

Another fabric print I was immediately draw to at the fabric store, was this very cool, retro "pop art" "Victorian" lounge print. I love "Victorian" furniture, and pop art is awesome! So bright and colourful, it makes for a really cool effect.

Tail End Charlie hits Sydney!
